Kathmandu, March 23: UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and representatives of German Leftist Party held meeting today. During the meeting held at Dahal residence at Lazimpat, the representatives of German Leftist Party enquired about Maoist movement in Nepal, constitution writing process and recent activities of UCPN (Maoist). Stating that Nepalis themselves played a remarkable role in peace process and constitution writing, Chairman Dahal said that they are involved to give completion of unity process among revolutionary communist parties in days ahead. He said, “PLA integration and promulgation of new constitution from Constituent Assembly are new experience experienced by the Nepali people. Nepali people themselves have established new example in peace process.” Stating that although all issues raised by his party are not incorporated in the new constitution, it has been written in favour of the people, the UCPN (Maoist), Dahal expressed happiness over promulgation of most inclusive constitution of the world. Chairman Dahal clarified they have been giving emphasis on hydropower, tourism and agriculture sectors for the development of the country and added that the country would now head towards the path of economic development. Similarly, Hayek Hengel from German Leftist Party briefed Chairman Dahal about leftist movement in Europe. -
